It expands the reed output (max 500 mA) with 6 deviator relays @16A (no,nc,com). This Add-On board, available both on MSITel opt 003 and opt 004 is linked with the J9 MSITel connector (reed output) by a flat cable. The external connectors are now directly the output of the expansion board which, for fault-tolerance, can be power on by primary or dedicated battery. It is possible to enable each power relay with an eventual external consent (for example with MSITel digital output)

MaddOn expansion unit (available from the end of November 2010)

This expansion board is directly located on MSITel opt 003 or opt 004 and connected by the J21 expansion connector. It provides additional IO and functions and in particular:

 8 temperature sensors (1uA/K°) and a board temperature sensor too.
 1 barometric pressure sensor with 1 mBar resolution.
 5 voltage sensors (1 Lithium battery, 3  MSITel power supply batteries, 1 internal rif.)
 1 counts input (for TTL pulse) with defined integration time.
 1 analog input for spectrum analysis with 1024 channel resolution and  selectable windows.
 8 I-O (TTL Level)
 1 SDHC  for storage of analog events and housekeeping (temperature, Voltage, Pressure ecc)
 2 rs-232 interface for tests and calibration.
